NostalgIA
A reggaeton track built with cloned voices of Bad Bunny, Justin Bieber and Daddy Yankee, released by a creator under the name FlowGPT in November 2023 and briefly everywhere on TikTok. Vine
Six seconds, looping. Still supplying the shared reference library of an entire generation nine years after it was switched off, which is more than most surviving platforms manage.

AIM
Screen names, away messages, the door-opening sound. Twenty years of teenage life logged to nobody's disk in particular, and switched off in December 2017 without anyone being able to say goodbye on it.

Ain't Nobody Got Time for That
A woman describing escaping a fire with a line that became a chorus. The last of the auto-tuned local news memes, and the point at which people noticed who was being laughed at.

AltaVista
The first search engine that indexed the whole web, and the first to be beaten by a cleaner one. Lived for a further fifteen years as a redirect.

Angelfire
GeoCities for people who had already been thrown off GeoCities. Technically still online, which counts for less than you would think.
