Cash Cat

A community memecoin on Robinhood Chain built on one fact: before it was Robinhood, the app was going to be called Cash Cat, a mascot with a fistful of money, as co-founder Vlad Tenev confirmed in April 2021. When Robinhood Chain opened in July 2026 the cat was among the first tokens deployed, with a fixed supply of one billion and no purpose beyond the joke. It went vertical on 8 July after Tenev posted that the chain was built for real-world assets but 'works great for memes too', a sentence the market read as a wink. By August it had six figures of holders and was the chain's second-largest coin. Not affiliated with Robinhood, which the token's own site repeats.

A community memecoin and self-described archival project on Robinhood Chain commemorating Spacetime Industries, the corporate name under which the company behind Robinhood's first iOS app operated in April 2013 before it became Robinhood Markets, Inc. The site frames the name as 'a forgotten origin coordinate in the pre-Robinhood story' and sells it with the line 'some names become brands, others become coordinates'. The younger sibling of Cash Cat in the same lore economy: where the cat is the mascot Robinhood never used, SpaceTime is the company name it dropped. Not issued or endorsed by Robinhood, as the project states.

Base Is for Everyone

A post from Coinbase's Base account reading 'Base is for everyone', published on 16 April 2025 through Zora, which issued every post as a tradable token. The coin reached a reported market value around $17m, then lost more than 90 per cent, then partly recovered. Base said it had not launched an official token, had not sold, and would not sell the share it received. Critics saw a corporate memecoin.

A coin announced on X by the President of the Central African Republic in February 2025 as an experiment to support national development, in a video so stiff that people ran deepfake detectors on it. Its reported market value passed half a billion dollars within hours and fell by more than 90 percent within days. The first memecoin launched by a sitting head of state; the record notes it was not the last.

The proposal, pushed by Base's Jesse Pollak in April 2025, that a social post could be issued as a token with no promise attached: not a memecoin, a 'content coin', worth whatever attention the post drew and nothing more. Tokens named for the animation studio, launched on Solana within hours of the internet turning its photographs into Studio Ghibli-style pictures in late March 2025. A rug pull performed as a public service announcement, which is not a genre the record thought it would need.

Hayden Davis Interview

An interview given days after the Libra token's collapse by Hayden Davis, chief executive of Kelsier Ventures which launched it. He said he controlled around $100m taken from the token's liquidity and described the launch as a plan that went wrong; the interviewer, Coffeezilla, pressed him on the timing of the withdrawals. Investigations in Argentina and civil suits in the US followed. No court had ruled by mid-2026.

Jesse Pollak Discourse

PumpSwap
