ICYMI

'In case you missed it' — the repost's excuse, from news accounts in 2011 into every brand's second attempt at the same post. The record's entry for the acronym that means 'again'.

'ICYMI' on a repost of a post from forty minutes earlier, by the same account. The record had not missed it. The record notes the account knew.

Memory @twitchcon_tina · Digger 15 Aug 2019

I remember when ICYMI was still a niche thing — 2011 — and you could use it without a footnote. The footnote arrived about six weeks later and never left.

Correction @geocities_widow · Archivist 29 Apr 2013

Minor, but the record should note that ICYMI predates the date most people give it. I have a post from 2011 and I suspect there are earlier ones. Correcting the born field is above my pay grade.
