Vaguebooking

Posting something deliberately vague to provoke concern — 'some people just don't get it' — as the Facebook art of 2009–12, and the ancestor of the subtweet. The record's entry for the status that was a fishing line, and for the 'u ok hun?' it was designed to catch.

The record notes vaguebooking is the subtweet's parent and the 'oomf' post's grandparent, and that all three are ways of saying something without saying it, which is most of social media.

Correction @livejournal_larry · Poster 27 Mar 2012

Small fix: the peak year is right but the peak was shorter than a year — closer to six weeks. The rest of 2012 was people explaining it.
