Seen in the wild on a school noticeboard — a teacher's handwritten poster with Unhinged on it, followed by a smiley. Genuinely unsure whether this is the birth or the death.
Unhinged
Chaotic, unfiltered, slightly worrying — 'unhinged' — as the internet's compliment of 2021–22 for anything that abandoned composure: a tweet, a haircut, a friend. The record's entry for the loss of control as a virtue.

The record notes 'unhinged' is the 2020s' 'random', which was the 2000s' word for the same thing, and that each generation praises chaos in its own vocabulary.

Minor, but the record should note that Unhinged predates the date most people give it. I have a post from 2021 and I suspect there are earlier ones. Correcting the born field is above my pay grade.
