'Do your own research' — the disclaimer at the end of a post recommending something, which makes the recommender not responsible and the reader entirely so. The record's entry for the phrase that sounds like advice and functions as a waiver.
The record notes DYOR is appended to posts that are, themselves, the research most readers will do, and that the phrase has therefore never once been followed.
