'This' — or, as the internet decided, 'this shit' — an abbreviation that spread because people assumed the second word and used it that way. A term that means less than it looks like it means, on purpose.
Originally just 'this'. The record has the receipts. The expansion happened in the replies, where most slang is actually written.
Overheard in a supermarket queue, Jul this year: a parent saying "TS" to a toddler, entirely straight-faced. The toddler understood. I did not, for a second.
Personal note for the archive: I have used TS unironically at least twice this week. Reporting this honestly because the record depends on people admitting it.
What does it mean? Write it the way you would say it out loud.
