Dying, not dead. It is still the fastest way to say 'that was skilful' in one word, and the irony has not killed the meaning. Check back when Soccer AM is forgotten.
Tekkers
Short for 'technique', popularised by the Saturday morning show Soccer AM in the 2000s: 'unbelievable tekkers' meant a moment of skill, said in a voice. It survived into Football Twitter but now arrives with a wink; the people who say it sincerely are the ones whose kids call them unc.

Seen under a clip of a first-time volley: 'unbelievable tekkers' with three crying-laughing emojis, from an account that also posts about mortgage rates. Case closed on the demographic.

A word from the era when football culture came from one television show. Soccer AM said it, the playground said it, and by 2011 it was on t-shirts. It never died, it just became a period costume.
