Sus

Suspicious, or suspect, clipped; a slang word with roots in British police jargon and 2000s American English that Among Us handed to the entire planet in 2020 as the only word needed to accuse a crewmate. The record notes 'sus' is now used by children who have never played the game and by adults who have never stopped.

'That's sus' said of a spreadsheet formula in a 2021 finance meeting, correctly.

Correction @speedrun_stella · Archivist 12 Mar 2020

Correction: 'sus' did not come from Among Us. It was on Urban Dictionary in 2003 and in the mouths of British police much earlier; the game merely made it the most-typed word of a lockdown.
