Still in sincere use as of this writing, which is the only test that matters. Sage has not yet been put on a slide by anyone in marketing, and I intend to keep checking.

I remember when Sage was still a niche thing — 2003 — and you could use it without a footnote. The footnote arrived about six weeks later and never left.
