I remember when Pentakill was still a niche thing — 2009 — and you could use it without a footnote. The footnote arrived about six weeks later and never left.

Filed as evidence: a job listing that asked candidates to demonstrate "Pentakill energy". Screenshot attached. The listing has since been edited.
