Man's Not Hot

A freestyle by the British comedian Michael Dapaah, delivered in character, whose deliberately unintelligible runs of syllables became the quotable part and got remixed over an assortment of other songs. The record's entry for a parody that charted harder than most of what it was parodying.

Died around 2019 when the performer moved on from the character. Survived by a set of nonsense syllables that a surprising number of adults can still produce on request.

It is a comedy performance about UK drill delivered by a comedian in character, which did not stop it being played straight in clubs by people who had never heard of him.

A colleague did the whole first verse at a Christmas party in 2017 to a room of people who could not have named the artist. Every single one of them joined in on the syllables.
