Sighting in a physical newspaper — Loss in a lifestyle column, in quotation marks, with a definition in parentheses. It has left the internet.
Loss
A four-panel webcomic about a miscarriage, from a gaming comic that was never serious before, which became the most abstracted meme in history: four panels, a line, two lines, a line and a lying-down line — 'is this loss?' — visible in anything. The record's entry for the meme that became geometry.

The record notes that 'loss' can be drawn with four strokes, that it has been found in floor tiles, spreadsheets and this dictionary's own layout, and that once seen it cannot be unseen.

There was a version of Loss that went round my family group chat about a month late, presented as new. I did not correct anyone. It was, for them, new, and that has to count for something.
