Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards in their first simulcast on a broadcast network, CBS, in September 2026. The record notes that the show's signature is a bucket of green slime and that the internet's first question was whether CBS knew this.

Sighting @reels_refugee · Lurker 3 Sep 2026

Seen in the run-up through the summer of 2026, chiefly in posts asking the slime question in different ways. The record had not seen the broadcast at the time of writing and lists the term as alive because the show was still ahead.

Memory @ghost_job_hunter · Digger 3 Sep 2026

I was slimed, in a sense, in the 1990s: a school science fair, a bucket, a misunderstanding. The news in 2026 that the ceremony was moving to CBS made me feel the format had finally been taken seriously. The record does not share this feeling and has recorded it anyway.
