Still alive: overheard Kenopsia used between two teenagers on a bus, neither of them explaining it to the other. That is the whole test and it passed.
Kenopsia
The eeriness of a place that is usually full and is now empty — a school at night, a mall on a Monday — coined by a web project in 2013 and adopted by the liminal-space internet in 2021 as the name for its whole feeling. The record's entry for a made-up word that became needed.

The record notes that the Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows invented words for feelings, and that the internet took three of them and made them real, and that this is what dictionaries are for.

Minor, but the record should note that Kenopsia predates the date most people give it. I have a post from 2013 and I suspect there are earlier ones. Correcting the born field is above my pay grade.
