IDC

'I don't care' — indifference in three letters, and, with a G and an A and an F, indifference with emphasis. The record's entry for the reply that ends a plan, and for its longer sibling, which ends a friendship.

Definition @ff7disc2 · Digger 24 Dec 2017

The record notes 'idc' is usually a lie and 'idgaf' is usually a wish, and that neither has ever ended a conversation, because the other person always replies.

Sighting @discord_deacon · Coroner 21 Sep 2017

Still alive: overheard IDC used between two teenagers on a bus, neither of them explaining it to the other. That is the whole test and it passed.

Memory @frames_forever · Archivist 30 Jan 2014

For whoever reads this in ten years: IDC arrived in 2003 and for about a month it was the only correct response to anything. Then it became a response to itself.
