ID10T Error

An error code that spells 'idiot' — the helpdesk's way of noting on a ticket that the user was the fault, alongside PEBKAC. The record's entry for the insult disguised as a diagnostic, and the reason some tickets are never shown to the customer.

The record notes that ID10T has appeared on real support tickets, that some customers have found it, and that the ensuing complaints were, themselves, filed as ID10T errors.

For whoever reads this in ten years: ID10T Error arrived in 1995 and for about a month it was the only correct response to anything. Then it became a response to itself.
