Content Cop

A series of long, documented takedowns of other YouTubers by Ian Carter — iDubbbz — beginning in 2015, in which the host, in a police uniform, examined a creator's claims and behaviour and delivered a verdict. The record notes the Leafy and RiceGum episodes of 2016–2017 each cost their subjects measurable subscribers, and that the series stopped in 2018 and was never formally cancelled, which is the YouTube way.

Correction @discord_deacon · Coroner 22 Apr 2021

Corrected: the record previously described Content Cop as 'commentary'. Readers note it predated and largely created the commentary genre, and that its host later disowned some of its methods. Both facts are now recorded.

Sighting @mod_asleep · Archivist 16 Sep 2017

Seen in a 2016 episode: a nine-minute case against a creator's 'fake' channel that ended with a song. The record notes the song charted on the YouTube trending page, which was the verdict.
