An opinion that is obvious, late, or both — a cold take — as the opposite of the hot one, and 'nuclear take' for the one that is too hot to survive. The record's entry for the temperature scale of opinion, which runs from 'water is wet' to 'unsubscribe'.
Minor, but the record should note that Cold Take predates the date most people give it. I have a post from 2017 and I suspect there are earlier ones. Correcting the born field is above my pay grade.
The record has 'hot take'. This is the rest of the thermometer, and the record notes an 'L take' is a bad one, an 'ice cold take' is 'the beach is nice', and the record's takes are, mostly, room temperature.
