Sighting, 14 June, a garden centre's loyalty-card email. Cottagecore, offered as an explanation to an audience that plainly did not need one.
My first encounter with Cottagecore was a friend sending me a link with no explanation at all, which was the etiquette then. You did not say what it was. You said 'look' and let it happen to the person.
We used to argue about Cottagecore on a forum that no longer exists, run by a man whose name I never knew, and I would give a lot to read those threads again. The argument was better than anything I have read about it since.
