How “oldschool” graphics worked Part 1 – Commodore and Nintendo [VIDEO]

The actual video considerations here are even worse than described. The Commodore 64 didn’t have 64K (65,536 bytes) plus special ROM holding the operating system. It had 64K of memory, and that’s it! The operating system took 26,625 bytes to code, leaving the infamous “38911 BASIC BYTES FREE” on the Commodore 64’s startup screen.
