Wow, this is disappointing. I can’t believe these people made it through high school (or even to high school) not knowing the order of operations. 10 + 10 x 0 = 10 multiplication comes first. Ask any math teacher or google it.
PROTIP: You can type a mathematical operation to Google and it’ll calculate it for you. (If someone didn’t know)
The internet is full of special people who will always try and justify their “wrongness”. Obviously by following rules like BEDMAS you will get the correct answer of 10. People failing to get 10 are failing to understand basic maths. There has been a recent discussion on a message board in NZ – it reached well over 10 pages and still people disagreed after having BEDMAS explained to them. One of the participants in the thread also began to post other equations that made this person look incredibly stupid.. 10+10*2 = 40 for example…
Well ,Correct answer is 10, but for the sake of People who argue that its not ,lets conider their answer,
They say
10 + 10 x 0 = 0
so,moving the 10 to the other side, 10x 0 =0 -10
10x 0 = – 10
0 = -10
that doesnt sound right, does it??
Lets see how I did,
10 + 10 x 0 = 10
10 x 0 = 10 – 10
10 x 0 = 0
0 = 0
hey!! i think Im right 🙂
