That is the problem!!! None of you left wing nut jobs read the facts or the whole story. You base your thoughts and ideas on just a portion and leave the rest behind. Liberals are pulling our country into the gutter with the rest of the trash… It isn’t about left or right. It is about people that live in a democracy, not a free country. There is no such thing as a free country. We live in a democracy, that means, if the rest of us do not like what you are doing, then you must stop. Most Americans would prefer small government, over big government and most Americans prefer to make their own choices and not the government deciding for them. Apparently you like that sort of thing. I suppose you still live with your mom and dad as well? Progressives are not progressing; they are demoralizing and devaluing this country. Progress means to move forward. I think we are moving backwards. If we intend to move forward, then we have to stop dividing this country into political parties. To move forward we have to stop allowing special interest groups and fools from backing up the political system with nonsense. We as a people should be ahead of and over, small minded radical idealist that think Chairmen Mao and Che Guevara were heroes and great political philosophers. When in fact, they are murderers; plan and simple. The president and most dems think these men were special and significant. They are no better than Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Nero Caesar, ETC. These men thought the way they ran things was right. Is it right to murder millions of people? Is it right to take away fundamental human rights? Is it right to destroy whole nations in the name of progressiveness? BE wise, you know the answer is, “NO!!! It isn’t right!!!”

1. You’re basing the way he typically reads/reacts to politics off a Facebook post?
2. Actually if we are in a democracy, then that must mean if you don’t like what we’re doing, you have to get majority consent from the people AND the government.If YOU don’t like something then that means YOU don’t, not the entire country. If enough citizens and politicians alike decided that something as outlandish as universal health-care, or *GASP* god forbid (yes, I didn’t capitalize it on purpose), gay marriage should be legalized/passed, what-have-you, then you can whine all you want, but its the majority opinion, which is what happens in a democracy.
3. Yes, most Americans prefer small government. Look at Australia, whose internet is actually restricted by the government, who has the ability to say what you can or can’t read/watch/listen to on the internet. Or UK, who is starting to put Big Brother to shame. Is THAT what you want? Talk about demoralizing and devaluing all you want, but if you don’t ALLOW people the ability to be immoral, then what’s the point of being moral? It loses all meaning.
4. Along with demoralizing and devaluing, I assume (you can correct me if I’m wrong, since you never brought this up) that you are against gay marriage. What a hellish idea, hmm? Such a sin, as says the Bible (it doesn’t), which is SO EXTREMELY founded in truth (it isn’t). If you want to go strictly by the bible, then why do allow women to speak their mind, as women should only speak when spoken to. And suffrage? Pssh, forget it. Fundamental human rights? Like the pursuit of happiness? Hey, isn’t that what gays want with marriage?
5. You mean to tell me that any president we’ve had that has gone to war needlessly does not also fall under that category. You cannot damn certain people for a reason, then raise others up on a pedestal for the same reason. Bush, while not responsible for millions of deaths, had caused much needless violence in the middle east. I agree Saddam needed to be taken care of, and that Osama should get ass-raped for eternity in the supposed hell that Christians believe in, but that’s it, why are we still there?
Before you get too upset, 4 and 5 are making HUGE assumptions of you, and if I’m wrong on assuming those points, consider them null, they are just my point of view. However, 1, 2, and 3, are my biggest beefs with you.

I think it’s unbelievable that Glen Beck has his own tv show on national television. He is a conspiracy theorist. I can understand that one whacko can believe this stuff, but the fact that so many people blindly listen to his bullshit amazes me. I watched his show for quite a bit on Tuesday (march 24) and he was asserting that Marxists hiddin within the American government are trying to destroy our country indirectly by passing healthcare, education laws, and global warming initiatives. I don’t understand how people I live with, people In my neighborhood, in my school can take what he says as fact (much less bear through an entire show) with all of his straw-man arguements like the imitation in this post of the acronym of Lydia’s name. I am a Canadian, and here – I can’t speak for everyone of course, but the majority I have known – we cannot believe anyone can take Glen Beck seriously and we honestly cant understand your beef with health care or understand anything about Republicans because they are considered wildley unruley with warped values. We simply dont understand how you can throw out “demoralization” and “destroying foundation or values” and “Godlessness” which are purley concepts and terms used as fear mongering for those who are frightened of change, while ignoring flesh and bone problems like poverty or inequality of the health care system.
I mean of course the high up republicans dont want health care. They own the insurance companies, they own the pharmacuetical companies. equality of health care would make it so that they only got a five figure bonus instead of a six. Of course they don’t want to fix problems at home because that means money out of their pockets.
Instead they are going to get you to concentrate on the war, and the importance of being a patriot and loving your country even though your country is constantly screwing you in the ass hole unless you already happen to be born into privladge and wealth. When was America ever full of any sort of righteousness? When African Americans were enslaved, or how about when they were freed but were still forced to live in an empoverished state because they had no money to get on their feet? How about when women couldnt vote? Was America righteous when they attacked Vietnam or Cuba? Hell no. The “Land of the free” only ever existed for the middle class white business man, and THAT is what the republicans want back, THAT is what they are preaching when they say “The good old days” when they talk about “Americas Foundation”.

You’re very lucky to live in such a beautiful country, with such kind people! Seriously, I went to the Stratford festival in Ontario, and received the nicest most hospitable treatment I’ve ever seen! If the Republicans manage to screw this country up any further, I assure you I’m on my way there ASAP. Especially if I can’t marry my boyfriend by then in a state of my own choosing.

I can appreciate some folks’ dislike of capitalism, but wearing shirts that seem to be a worship of Che Guevara and Vladimir Lenin is absurd to me. Not to mention respecting Mao Zedong a murderer of over 20 million or George Bernard Shaw’s political philosophies about humane gas chambers and having a committees set up that every 5 years people should have to prove their worth or die.

I’m just going to respond to the comment about the government controlling the internet in Australia… You’re actually a little early on that one. It’s a strongly debated and very contentious issue, but the legislation still has to be passed in the senate – and it’s a hostile senate. So yeah, if it gets through we’ll basically be China, but it’s not through yet.
