“At just 3CM long the rare Pepquino micro-melon is certain to cause a stir. it is 20 times smaller than its traditional cousin, but with an almost identical skin colouring.
The Pepquino was discovered by Dutch food producers Koppert Cress in South America who brought it to the Netherlands and cultivated it in greenhouses.
Prices start at £10 per 250g box, which contains around 50 melons. With its distinctive appearance and slightly sour taste, the Pepquino perhaps will become the fashionable food of 2009. “ Text via DailyMail
