Assassin's Creed Unity
Ubisoft's Paris game, released in November 2014 with a bug that removed characters' faces, leaving eyeballs and teeth floating in hoods, and a frame rate that made the company cancel its season pass as an apology. Revived in April 2019, when Ubisoft gave it away free after the Notre-Dame fire and the internet flooded its Steam page with thanks.

Ubisoft's Japan-set Assassin's Creed, delayed from November 2024 to February and then to March 2025 while an argument about its Black samurai protagonist, Yasuke, ran for the better part of a year. Released to three million players in its first week and a Ubisoft that needed them. The record's entry for a launch whose discourse began before its trailer had finished.
